Review:
The Apple AirPods Pro, by all means, is a vastly improved version of the previous AirPods, boasting superior sound quality, noise-cancellation feature, a comfortable and stable fit, and improved call quality, that’s definitely worth every dime of its $249 price tag.
As soon as you open the box, you’re greeted with a minimalist design that Apple is notorious for. The glossy white finish, compact size, and premium build quality echo the brand’s dedication to sophisticated style and practical utility. However, the real difference lies in the new design, which now has silicon tips, making the earbuds more secure and comfortable to wear compared to their predecessors. The design modification also includes a shorter stem, giving the earbuds a more discreet appearance when worn.
The sound quality of the AirPods Pro is arguably one of the biggest improvements over the regular AirPods. The audio output is more balanced and richer, with clear vocals and a well-defined bass. The Adaptive EQ automatically tunes the low and mid frequencies to the shape of your ear, providing a truly personalized and immersive listening experience.
Presumably, the standout feature of the AirPods Pro is the inclusion of Active Noise Cancellation – it’s genuinely impressive. The noise cancellation picks up and eliminates an astonishing amount of outside noise allowing listeners to fully immerse themselves in their music or podcasts without distraction. Surely, AirPods Pro is a cut above the standard AirPods when it comes to blocking out the world around you, especially in noisy environments.
Battery performance is quite respectable too. You get roughly about 4.5 hours listening time on one charge with noise cancellation turned on, and the wireless charging case can charge the earbuds for a total of 24 hours of listening time.
Yet, a minor downside is the absence of a universal volume control on the AirPods themselves. You either have to use Siri, your iPhone, or Apple Watch to adjust the volume. Also, the price tag makes it a significant investment for budget-conscious buyers.
In summary, the Apple AirPods Pro, with its impressive sound quality, effective noise-cancellation feature, and excellent comfort, stands as one of the best true wireless earbuds on the market. However, the steep price and the lack of on-device volume control could be the deciding factors.
