So, I’ve been testing out the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra for the past two months intensively and I’m absolutely thrilled to share my review about this unrivaled flagship phone from Samsung.
Can I just say, right off the bat, that the S20 Ultra is a tech enthusiast’s dream come true? This device is potent and comes packed with features and performance that are hard to find in other smartphones. From its massive 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen to the astounding 108MP camera, and it’s remarkable One UI 2.5 software, the S20 Ultra is, without a doubt, a game-changer.
We’ll start our journey with the design. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra sports a sleek, premium look with a Gorilla Glass 6 for ultimate screen protection. The phone feels comfortable to hold, despite its large size and carries the weight evenly, providing a sturdy grip. The Cosmic Gray and Cosmic Black colors are stunning, and truly give the phone a luxurious look.
Onto the most exciting feature – the display, Samsung never disappoints. The S20 Ultra features a 6.9″ Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X – capable of delivering vibrant colors and sharp, crystal clear texts and graphics. Watching videos, reading, and browsing the web is completely immersive with the beautifully curved, vibrant display.
As for performance, the S20 Ultra posts impressive benchmark scores backed up by Snapdragon 865 coupled with a whopping 12GB/16GB RAM depending on your preference. I tested a few heavy games, ran multiple apps, and they all glided smoothly without any signs of sluggishness. The 5000mAH battery is a beast in itself – it comfortably lasted through the day under heavy usage including hours of gaming, streaming, and photography.
Let’s talk about the camera where S20 Ultra holds its ground proudly. The Quad-camera setup touched new heights by featuring a 108MP(F1.8) primary camera. It’s followed by a 48MP(F3.5) Telephoto, 12MP(F2.2) Ultrawide, and a DepthVision Camera. The photos are stunningly detailed, and the richness in colors always stood out – managing to retain impressive dynamic range. The 100x Space Zoom is incredible, while perhaps not always practical, is a testament to the innovation Samsung is capable of. The front camera is a 40MP beast, delivering quality selfies with creamy bokeh effect.
With features like 8k video recording & HDR10+ display, it’s quite clear that Samsung spared no expense in making this phone a technological masterpiece. From a review standpoint, it gets full marks from me for its unparalleled display, incredible camera features, and brute performance.
